Curriculum
At Castle Way, our academic and vocational pathways are designed to be inclusive, accessible, and practical. We provide a tiered approach to learning, ensuring that every student can achieve recognised qualifications at a pace that suits their individual needs and abilities.
Core Academic Pathways
We deliver NCFE Functional Skills, focusing on the essential knowledge and skills required for everyday life and future employment. We offer comprehensive coverage across all stages:
Functional Skills Mathematics: Available from Entry Level 1 through to Level 2.
Functional Skills English: Available from Entry Level 1 through to Level 2.
Vocational & Personal Development
Beyond the core subjects, we offer specialised courses that prepare students for the workplace and support their physical and personal well-being:
NCFE Sports (Level 1 & 2): A structured pathway for students interested in physical education, coaching, and the sports industry.
ASDAN Employability: A practical qualification focused on developing the "soft skills" and professional attributes needed to transition into the workforce.
ASDAN PSHE: A dedicated programme for Personal, Social, Health, and Economic education, helping students navigate modern life with confidence and resilience.
Our curriculum is focused on empowering students with the credentials they need to unlock future opportunities in further education or apprenticeships.
